Mission: See and tell.

Jenna Sampson was born beneath the dancing auroras in Alaska. She eventually found her way to San Francisco where she took a job at a 30 person company called Twitter. There she launched a micro grants and non-profit outreach program, working with the local government and community partners to connect company resources with those who need them. Leaving the tech world behind, she moved to the mountains to take up goat-milking and rock climbing before setting off on the originally planned journey into storytelling. She is now a contributor at The Water Desk and working on kid-friendly content to spread the excitement of journalism to the next generation.

She focused on oceanography and climate science throughout her masters degree in environmental journalism at CU Boulder. You can view her recent work here.
